Pictures upload

Hello!
Have tried few times to upload photos. Every time the same message- error as picture size is too big. Does anybody here know what max picture size limit is? Anydody else having the same problem as me?

current max is 1024 KB

So even the lowest possible resolution pictures /lets say 2 megapcs/ may strugle to upload, I assume?

it has to be 1mb or smaller in size. but you can do quite a good resolution in that size
