BTW, the reddit comment about the guy being fake is about somebody ELSE who posted Caleb's pics and claimed they were his own.

That explains it. And obviously, when you are only 14, and have an onslaught of allegations, you may not yet be equipped with the right tools to deal with accusers. Hence the closure of the account.

I dunno... I know there are people who fake their profiles, for one reason or another. Usually, it's because someone wants to be a different person to what he is in real life. It is not common in Insta, Facebook, etc. It could be more common in dating sites though. Especially international ones, with criminal intent.
In social sites, I do not doubt people's stats unless and until I see the proof to the contrary. I remember a guy on now extinct Heightgroup posting a pic of his feet in Chucks and claiming he is size 15. Poor bugger. First, the picture did not seem to reflect size 15. BUT: the effect of photo can be deceptive. There was just one thing: his hi-top Chucks had 8 holes for laces. But Chucks from size 13 (or 14) and up, have 9 holes. for laces. Proof beyond any doubt! I did not post a comment though. The guy seemed to be size 12 or 13. If he wanted to be 15, I thought, let him be. I don't know if that attitude of mine was correct, but I thought I was not on a crusade to denounce "fraud", if I may call it so.
In case of Caleb, I know for sure he comes from a family of kids with huge feet. His uncle, Greg from Cali, was selling some of Caleb's cousins (Greg's sons) shoes on eBay. It was around the end of 2008. He was posting a few pics of his boys. One of them is No.2 from the top in this thread. Posted here by dogozbogoz. The boy there was 15 or 16 at the time and had size 19 feet. There was another pic of this boy when he was 13, skating in oversized DCs. And a pic of his brother (not Caleb), who was 13 at the time and had size 18 feet. Why would the father photoshop 3 different pics of his sons? And why would he be selling size 18 kicks? One of the shoes had insole taken out, and one could clearly see the footprint going right to the top.
Caleb is coming from that family. He has a younger brother who also has oversized feet for his age. All the boys are also overly tall for their age. And the oversized feet for that height is not a surprize. Someone mentioned that a 15-y-o guy with size UK 19 feet was featured in the media. True. I too was approached by Channel 7 here in Sydney and by a journalist from NY, on separate occasions, for live shows. I declined because that is not for me: I may be viewed as a freak, and I do not want it. It's bad enough I attract unwanted attention in the streets, perhaps more than some celebrities, if I may say so. Everyone is different. But how many people are out there with big feet/height for their age that are in a shade? It doesn't mean they do not exist or are not real. We just do not know about them, and do not see them in the limelight.
About the picture. Distortion? Blurry? Glow? Waxy? - Photo effects of imperfect photography. Gap? But he is skinny, so it's not surprizing. I myself am an imperfect photographer. The flash goes, the exposure not set, and voila! - the above effects.
When I was a kid, I saw a spy movie which showed, in part, a scene where a guy was blackmailed by a pic of his daughter with some spies. He was not scared and took the pic to the intelligence. They analyzed it and showed him it was made from two different photos. There must be some software in existence that may be able to determine the "photoshopping"or combining of pictures. In the absence of such, and taking into account all the facts presented in this thread, I cannot be convinced on the balance of probabilities that Caleb's stats are not real. Let alone beyond reasonable doubt. For those reasons, the allegations fail and the case must be dismissed.

No proof whatsoever. If you read my post, you will see that what they call image manipulations are in fact natural image imperfections. Besides, there were many barefooted pics of Caleb. I will post one of them, where he was at doctors' with :size 18 foot" written on the sole of his foot. I did a screenshot from former Caleb's Insta account. Gotta find it.

Those are a few screenshots from Caleb's account I managed to find on my iPhone.
I took them some time in October this year, before closure of his account.
They are not in order of publishing on Insta. "124w", "57w" etc indicate how many weeks ago (as of some time in mid- or end October 2015) they were published.
Please note Caleb may have published some earlier photos on request. And hell a lot of requests he had, poor kid.
I am an IT Professional by qualifications, and a lawyer by self-education and by experience.
In all the materials submitted here, I see nothing that would show faking from IT and legal prospectives.
There is absolutely NO evidence of photoshopping or whatsoever that would withstand a test on standard of proof "on the balance of probabilities", let alone "beyond reasonable doubt".
As I said before, and for the 1000-th time: please produce LEGAL PROOF to show photoshopping or photo manipulation, OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE.
Full stop. End of story.

I love this thread. It's like watching a slow-motion train wreck. That photo that was dissected as being manipulated is so obviously fake. The person may be real and may have huge feet, but that particular photo is a Photoshop disaster.

Remember the Cocomagic case. It was better elaborated cause he was stealing pictures from only one guy and he also built fake profiles for his boyfriend... It is hard to admit when someone is lying to you but sometimes it is better to face the truth (it took me ages and I considered him as a friend). As soon as he was exposed, all his accounts were closed. Also, a lot of people here (from what I have read) like to possess shoes way bigger than they need (for some kind of fetishism). So I am not surprised if Caleb had some shoes that have been worn to sell on eBay. If you still have contact with him, it is OK cause maybe he is a nice guy and everyone will agree on that. But when it comes to his pictures, maybe he should be more carefull and not try to pretend to be someone he isn't or use photoshop (quite badly).

I have just checked Imgur.
I do not know who is bigfootCody, but obviously its NOT Caleb but some impostor.
1) The pic is of Caleb's cousin, size US 19, taken in 2008.
2) Foot pic on Imgur is Caleb's.
3) Caleb turned 14.
4) All those pics were publicly available.
5) It is not the first time the fraudsters steal pics of others (incl.these).
6) The shoes sold on ebay in 2008 were of Caleb's cousins. Not Caleb's.
But he does come from a family where boys' are excessively tall and have enormous feet. Not just for their age.
7) Caleb did post a pic of his cousin, but he never claimed it was his.
8) All Caleb's pics in his Insta are of the same boy. Him.
9) I corresponded with Caleb's uncle, Greg, before.
WHERE DOES CALEB COME IN, IN ALL THIS?
If I could see 'fraud', I would say it.
I'm sorry, but I can't see it. Whether I want it or not.
I'm being honest in this. Not as a lawyer for Caleb, but as a person who would independently and
professionally look at all the facts, and apply IT and legal principles to judge the case.
Sorry, my friend, but the prosecution case must fail.
