You may notice on @tallcalifornia or @Kris210 profile they display the banner "Certified Tower" That means they among others have gone through our height verification process and have been invited to a special forum.

Certified Towers Forum Rules:

How ridiculous!! Isn't this group all about tall men and their admirers? Yet now you're creating a "group" where they can share and we can't see it, what utter bullshit!!

Looks like I'll be ditching this site and removing my monthly $ contribution...

its a new forum where tall people can talk with tall people, its a "move" to make this site more attractive to tall guys, you know it wasnt my dream come true getting here and then being flooded with short to average guys, wanting me to send pictures of how huge i am... i thought it was a place for tall people which the name pretty much indicates.
There is talk about one single forum, its not like you are getting restricted access to the page, there has just been an additional feature to the site.
besides dont you want to know if the tall guys you are chatting with are actually tall? this is a way to make sure of that, see the banner on my profile ? <-- thats what it looks like to be in the group. so its allso a way to see if people are faking their height or not.

No. This is a good thing. As pointed out it will delineate liars which is a major problem, and it will over time dissuade creeps and assholes from frequenting here. It really, really needs to stop. Further because they've slowly been "figuring out" where some of the sources here come from and have gone insofar as to harass people there. Luckily I have been paying attention to it elsewhere and reporting it to mods and getting them booted out. The only reason I am here anymore is so I can watch and be able to identify creeps and harassers.

The fact that people already are saying "I'm going to leave because of this" is telling, and pathetic. Oh boo hoo poor you, would you like some cheese with that wine? Good riddence. People get so uppity over being excluded. Big deal.

And for the record, I am only 6'1. Am I upset over this that I can't be part of it? Not even a little.

It would probably lead to more posting from tall people as they feel comfortable posting in a section where they know there are other tall people and aren't harassed, and as word gets out that such a place for tall people exists. The site already attracts altitudinous people looking for such things and they move on when they see it's not what they thought or find some interesting things and give it a try but are scared away by creeps. This would help retrain and would help attract the vertically endowed in the first place. A few may post just there, but others will come and post throughout other parts of the site. It's nice to have a safe place to discuss without harassers. There are plenty of liars about too, which if people want to write fictions I'm fine with it, but don't pass off lies about size and such as truth to get attention and then not like the attention when obvious lies are called out as such. On the other hand, there are some tall people that might be willing to share that fact and come out, I'm sure there are lurkers too, who might feel comfortable to proclaim it or even share material if it's safe from creepers. It's also nice to know with a simple tag that someone is legit. If someone is a liar from the onset, I don't particularly want to talk to that person. Ain't no one got time for that.

What would the net result be? The worst case scenario is a few people post only in the certified section, and admirers and other tall people continue to post in the other sections. Middle case scenario, the same as before, but new tall people come to the site for the certified section. Better case scenario, there are tall people posting in the tall section, and posting along with admirers in other sections, and the new tall people that came for the certified section are now posting in other parts.

The one concern I would have doesn't have to do with there being a certified tall section, but with too many sections diluting discussion. I would only make new subforums if there is demand, which there is for this.

I do really hate being excluded from parts of any site not just this one.
You do not need a special section for people to be certified. 3 to 4 forums should be able to cover
all the topics for discussion.
We all want to read the great conversations that take place on this board but now because your taller u can
see more content.
The reason people join and submit pictures is because they want to feel part of the site and could see everything they wanted to see.
you will never ever stop the odd person harassing people that have been posted on any site.

I should know because Legal action was taken against me and my old site just for this very reason.

This is not going to make me leave but just makes me think what I am missing out on and makes me sad.

I'm sorry for all the confusion with the new forum, It was born from a discussion from @Kris210 who joined the site thinking it was a site for only tall men, and found out differently. He was looking for such a place where they could be with like people, I though hard about it and decided it would only benefit the board by giving tall men a place to be "tall" and then get more tall men on the board. Once they are on the board they do contribute to the board and we do get to enjoy them. Just look at @Kris210 he is on the shoutbox many times and posts on the board now. .

Our dream is to have more tall men around us, I though this would be one way we could get more, and enjoy more.

I'm always looking at ways to improve the board for all our benefit, this was one way I though would improve the board.

Before I begin let me admit first and foremost I am a size king. Not queen because that's too small. Seriously, if I could find the hulk in tan as opposes to emerald form, I would date him and be in blissful Paradise. It should also be known I'm only five foot eight and half inches tall.

That being said, I don't mind the idea of a forum for the tall guys by themselves (although I do feel you should drop it down to 6'2" since that's where Tall Clubs International sets their start height).

Why? Because of knowledge gained by my tall friends. Watching them have to deal with just regular, every day folks who already come up with statements and questions like:

"Oh my god! Do you know you're tall?"
"What's the weather like up there?"
"Do you play basketball?"
"Can I get a picture of you (your hand/ your feet)?"
"Were you always tall?"
"Where do you find clothes?"

Sometimes it's even worse as the averages have to make a huge production in the restaurant or elsewhere and shout out a call for everyone to take a look or a peak at the "mo fo giant!". Or even worse they're an average to shorter tall man who has to prove themselves by taking down a "Goliath" and call them out for a fight.

Now with all those normal regular and short people doing that out in public, the tall men come onto the internet into sites advertised for tall men and not only do they have to deal with the regular folks, the tall admirers, but also the bully admirerers who act and think it's their God given right to be given pictures and video chats of tall men and their feet hands and penises; the stalkers who are the same as the bullies save they hack their way into files or use their powers of research and deduction to figure out where the tall person lives; or they run into the giant impostors - guys like the stalkers who make up stats and photoshoped images to get to know tell men so they can grab pictures and private moments.

After dealing with all that, they'd like to find two things: 1. An open area with people of any height that can talk with them normally and not have to make mention of their size everytime the air current changes. (Which is why I have quite a few tall friends on line and off, because I talk with them about their day, their family, job, hobbies, feelings and try not to focus on how tall they are.). 2. Sometimes they would like to find an area with other fellow tall men to sit back and just A. feel normal, like everyone else in the room or B. can gripe to someone else with understanding on how pushy people are, how clothes/cars/furniture/ etc. aren't made in their size and how to deal with it.

I think it would attract more tall men to the board. If it does more tall men will be seeing us average n short guys' commentary and postings on how we appreciate, admire, love, or even lust after tall men and depending on what we collectively or individually post, it may mean some tall gentlemen may post pics of themselves, or even privately send an individual a pic or contact information.

Besides, one has to realize one is already excluded from some "postings" anyway as not all tall members here may post pictures of themselves, chat with everyone, nor wish to chat with men shorter than they are. It's not a slam against anyone, or a personal attack, it's just how those particular tall men may feel.

I'd rather this board be known as an area that welcomes and allows tall men to chat and share among just themselves and with everyone if they like, as opposes to one that demands that they must communicate and do show n tell for us "smalls". If we demand to be shown, then we really have become just that... small.
