Because all of the other tagged sizes are in US size. Labeling Carl as size 21 and assuming US size like the others sells his feet short, so to speak.

The solution is: SPECIFY which one - US or UK.
BUT: the site asks you to specify the foot size in US size when you join.
So, lets assume all size are US.
If in doubt (e.g. a guy from UK) - specify which one.
So, no problemo.
