Bigdonsboys.com enters final year of updates

Big Don Weho here reporting from Hollywood. Sadly my FREE tall guys website http://www.bigdonsboys.com is entering it's final year of updates. Founded in 2006 in September and launched in October of that year, my site will be a decade old next October.

And so it is with a heavy heart I must announce that the site will cease regular updates next October 2016. Not because I am tired of it (I turned fifty in July!). No, it's because the ad revenue dropped from up to $400 on a great month to less than $5 a day. Often much less.

Advertisers only want to be on facebook where they know who you are and can target ads better. I'm not gonna make people log in with facebook to view my site. Only 1 in 1000 people click on my, or other sites, ads. Obviously advertisers are looking for the most bang for their buck. Ad blocking software just makes things worse.

Remember VHS tape recorders? They came out and then mom and pop movie rental places opened. Then Blockbuster video came along and killed them. Then blockbuster was killed by the internet and digital downloading.

The same thing is happening to mom and pop websites like mine. Factors like Facebook are wiping us out. Some day Facebook will be wiped out by the next big thing too. It's just the way it goes.

Until then look for great EXCLUSIVE guys like Mustafa Khater and Animal! 6'3" and 6'10" bodybuilders respectively!

Oh yes the site is not going anyplace it will continue to entertain (and pull in some kind of income). But there won't be any updates unless it's a special deal like I meet a great model.

I did not realize that Facebook was doing this to so many sites. Nothing I can do to help, of course, but I will continue to pay attention to the issue. I've never heard it described that way before.

Yes. CBS News is having the same problem with ads on its site as I am. So CBS News and other groups are opening facebook pages to make advertising money and starting to put their content completely into facebook. EVIL! Facebook is swallowing the internet!

Youtube rapes copyrights and facebook is little better. Youtube is part of google, they run the ads on my site. It's facebook that is the real threat to google and my site and other's that have similar ads. Facebook is a gated community where ads can be targeted better.
