Sort of a poll question...did your final height end up being where you thought it would be?

I know growing up most people want to be as tall as possible, but after you stopped growing, was your final height:

    A) Shorter than you thought you'd be?
    B) Just about as tall as I thought I'd be
    C) Taller than I thought I'd be.

    Feel free to elaborate.

My answer would be C when I was younger, but A later on.

Since neither my Dad nor my brothers are tall, I did not expect to be any taller than they are. But when my feet started to get big around age 10-11 and had bigger feet than them and a lot of my uncles, people said I was going to taller. So I was sort of disappointed, I only made it to 6'1".

    A) My final height is shorter than what I thought I'd be, as my father is two inches taller than me and my grandfather, his father, was also two inches taller. I have a cousin who is 6'5'', four inches taller, although we're like twice removed.

I also find it impressive that you wear a size 14 shoe at 6'1''. I'm the same height and I wear a 12 and most guys my height that I know wear a 10 or an 11. Size 14 at 6'1'' is really something.

    A. Primarily because I grew a lot but basically started coming to a screeching stop at 14. Definitely my shoe size matched someone taller. Oh well, 6'4" is tall enough.

    B) I am a Pigmy by most of you others, being 5'9" size 9 shoes. I am taller than my parents were. I seemed about average height in 1960s but have noticed particularly recently & living near to schools that the kids are enormous! I was walking behind 3 lads earlier, all well over 6' and about 14--16 yrs old. I wonder if we will keep getting taller there must be a limit surely!!!! What a Fantasy for us Tall Fanatics!!!

A unfortunately! My father always said, "your grandfather grew 2 inches taller than his dad, and then I grew 2 inches taller than your grandpa, so you will probably do the same." My father is 5'9" and thus I expected to be about 5'11" growing up. As unluck would have it, I stopped at 5'7" :-/

I stopped growing by 14, stopping early sucks!

A - I was 5'7'' when I started high school - 13 years old, then grew two inches in one year, and then another four in the next year, however, when I was 16, I stopped at 6'3'', was hoping to get to over 6'7'' or 2 meters, however, only my shoe size grew way bigger than my height.

pretty much the exact same story here.. My dad is 2 inches taller than me and it was pretty disappointing to stop growing at 13-14.

I was measured at 5'10" as a 115# 14 year old freshman. I knew I had a "thing" for taller guys and was worried I may end up too tall to find any. Fortunately I stopped growing and had the pleasure of guys like you going from a shorty to towering over me.

It's crazy we were almost the same height when we were just entering high school. I sprouted up quickly to 5'6-5'7 when I was 13 or 14 and then boom! Stopped. While you were disappointed you still enjoyed another 8 inches of growth. Crazy the differences we see on here. I got outgrown by basically all my male friends and family members after being slightly above average height in junior high.

A - I thought and my parents thought I would be much taller. I see most of the comments above are the same. So just call me shorty.
