Hey everyone,

Some months ago I was still able to use a measurement calculator from Heightgroup.com, which could calculate and convert any shoe size you would type in, from US sizes to EU sizes while also giving the foot lenght in cm / inches etc., going beyond even the regular sizes. (http://heightgroup.com/content/calc.html, was the link). However the link does not work anymore now and I have been searching for a simulair conversion tool ever since.

The only thing I was able to find were shoe size conversion charts that go up to size 15 US max. I was wondering if anyone else ever used the conversion tool I am talking about and knows if it has been moved elsewhere, or if there is any simulair calculator out there somewhere. Thx in advance :)

we have the conversion formula to convert from US to european, but not actual foot length. if someone has the details, we can create such an item on the site.

The european size is proportional to the length of the shoe : EU 1 = 2/3 centimetre

Could you post the conversion formula from US to EU size? :)

This chart gives comparisons for most regions along with length cm and in. It only goes to certain sizes but they're all determined by formulas that will calculate the larger sizes.

Update to add larger US sizes from oddball shoe (a good store, btw). h/t rene

US shoe sizes are based on a size 14 as 12" long, and as far as I can figure, that's often the inside measurement of the shoe, not the length of the foot that would comfortably fit in it. There are 3 sizes per inch.

there are 3 US sizes to the inch and 4 EUR sizes to the inch..... 12 inch bare foot is commonly referred to as a US mens size 14 and EUR size 48 (roughly).... go up or down from there.... so a 13 inch foot is US mens size 17 and EUR 52, 14 inch foot is US mens size 20 and EUR size 56, etc....

You can find a chart I made of Inches to US Brannock Standard here: http://www.hotboots.com/sizechart.html

The chart goes up to a US Size 23, or a 15" foot, and includes width. There's also the raw data provided, in case you need to figure out a measurement outside of that chart's range.

An easy way to figure out length for US measurements is that 11" = Size 11, and each size is 1/3", so you can adjust up or down from there to get a length measurement. Width is more complicated, so there isn't really an easy way to remember it.

Converting from US to EU or similar, I'm afraid I have no data for. Your best bet is just to use measurement in INCHES not shoe size, as there are variances between footwear manufacturers. You might have a pair of sneakers in a size 12 that fit perfect, and a pair of combat boots in a 10 that fit equally perfect, all because manufacturers use different lasts during construction of their footwear. Then, convert inches to your standard of choice using raw data for that standard. Might need to use Google search to find said data.
