For the last 3 weeks or so, I've had a strange issue. I log into my account, and as I start browsing the forums, every time I click on a thread, the system automatically logs me out and asks me to log in again. It is really annoying to log in 15-20 times as I browse through new posts.
Am I the only one with this problem?
Are the admins aware of it?
Can anything be done?

Appreciate your efforts to fix this!

And after writing the previous message when I clicked on "Post Reply" I had to log in again!

What browser are you using, I do not have this issue, nor has it been reported before. I'll be happy to help look into it.
Do you block cookies from the site?
Do you block the adds?

I use Firefox. Yes, in my general settings the browser blocks adds and unnecessary cookies. Also, I delete history every time I close the browser. So normally each website asks for cookie permissions when I log on, but this site never does actually. But up to about 3 weeks ago it was okay, and this difficulty with logging in is a very recent development.
Thank you for your assistance!

And now, just out of curiosity, I have also logged in with Chrome, and it does the same thing. :-(

First , please take off your add blocker for this site. I do not believe the add blocker is causing the issue you're experiencing.
The reasons:
This site sustains itself by one of 2 means:
1. Adds pay for about 1/2 of the cost to host a dedicated server, which means we do not have to "follow" other hosting systems rules and are allowed to post freely.
2. The supporters / subscriptions pay for the other half.
I do not make any money on the site, and usually get pretty close to covering the cost of the server. I'm willing to pay some to give to the community.

Second, I am pretty sure that blocking all the cookies is the culprit.
Our Forum Software does make use and requires cookies. The way it works is it will put an in-memory cookie so it can function.
These In--memory cookies are time bound, meaning they expire after a short time. When that time runs out, it will cause you to log in and renew those in memory cookies. Unfortunately, I do not know a way around this, but I will do some research.

I have experienced this issue if I don’t click the keep me logged in or whatever it is called on the sign in page. It would just forget me in a short period of time.
