It's possible to keep growing until you're 25

It may not happen that often, but it's possible for guys to keep growing until they're 25. I know this not because it happened to me, but because it's happening to my 3 sons.

My oldest son is 26 and 6'10". When he was 18 he was 6'3". He hasn't grown in over a year and a half so he's done growing (I hope). My middle son is 23 and 6'8". He was 6'4" and 18 and hopes to be taller than his older brother soon. My youngest is 20 and 6'7". He was also 6'4" when he was 18. I'm certain that my two youngest sons are still growing. Every time I see them they're taller.

I don't know where my sons got their height or the ability to grow so late. I'm only 5'10", and I stopped growing at 17.

Does anyone else have experiences growing between 18 and 25?

ohh i hope that happens to me too, i am pretty fortunate meassuring 6'11''. but i have this childish dream of growing another inch to 7 foot clean... that would be awesome

I met a 6'10 guy recently. He's 51 and he told me that he stopped growing 3 years ago (no acromegaly). He has size 19 6E feet

Dad...you're about the same height as me (5'11)...I can't begin to imagine all of my sons being a foot taller or more
than me Would be awesome gathered around them...looking up at all of them. How do you feel about this large height difference with all of your sons? Have you had discipline issues, or do they repsect you as their father even though you are so much shorter than them Do you have a pic of you and all three standing together? That would be awesome for everyone to see.

I never really had any discipline issues with them. Because they had late growth spurts, they also outgrew me "late" so they were more mature when it happened. At this point, they're all in college and adults so there are no discipline issues to be had.

Seeing how tall they are makes me wish I was taller. I still don't know where their height came from.

there is a chromosome disorder called double y-syndrome, where a flaw in the spermcells creation results in some cells coming out with 2 y-chromosomes, and then if one of these cells are the one to fertilize the egg, then the child will have 47xyy disorder and the y is as you probably know the male sex chromosome, and some of your height is coded there, and so having 2 of these you sort of get double that amount of height. and there are no other visual effects of this that extra height.
so this might explain your sons height, but its a rare thing to have and for it to appear in all your sons is practically impossible.
but you never know right ?

As far as growing late goes, not me, but a friend if mine had a late growth spurt around age 19 or 20. Everyone kept waiting for him to become a little tall. Dad was about 6' 1", mom was around 5' 8", and his sister was 5' 8" as well. He however was all if 5' 2" all the way through high school. Parents figured that was as tall as he was going to get. Then like his sophomore year of college... BOOM! He just started growing and finished at around 6' 3".
