How old where you when you stopped growing?

lol. That will teach you. Height is a big deal when you are a kid.

Oh, no kidding. There was one time when we were 18 and he spent the night when my parents were out of town. He LOVED talking about the turn around and even tried on a few of my shirts and my shoes. It was my first real awareness of my love for tall guys.

I stopped at 18/19...reached 6'1.5" tall. I'm 64 now, and just a month ago was measured in the doctor's office (in socks) at 5'11"...so I've been shrinking with aging...have lost 2.5" now. Most men loose anywhere from 2-3 inches as they grow older I've read...so I'm assuming I could loose perhaps another inch at most.

I think about 17 or 18, had my big growth spurt between 8th grade anf freshman year of HS; start of 8th grade I was the third shortest guy in my class at about 5'3", at graduation I was dead center at about 5'7", and by Oct. of my freshman year I was 5'10"; gained a coupe inches before college to hit 6', wish I had grown more, Dad was 6'2", and my nephews are 6'3" and 6'6".

The actual height measurement that confirmed shrinking has come with physicals I've had...the first confirmation of
being shorter was when I was 55 and measured at 6ft even. I'm guessing, based on what I've read, that I could loose an additional 1/2-1" in height. At my tallest, in my late 20's I was 6'1.5" tall. I noticed that at the end of the day, after work, I've measured myself at 5'10.5" We're our tallest in the morning after waking, and measure an even 5'11"

Thanks for the info. I'm turning 56 in September and it seems that I have started to shrink. I'm only 5'10" tall right now, so hopefully I won't shrink too much.

Hi To all ... I stopped growing at 14 and that really sucked as I had been a tall kid until then (5' at 11 and 5' 10.5"at 14) but then I just stopped ... I thought 6' would be SO easy .. But no it wasn't To be and To rub salt into the wound Many a shorter friend outgrew me - and that was really hard for me! Anyone in a similar position? Feel free To contact me ... Rob

My dad was 6'6 when i was younger and my mother is about 5'8.
