some people just have boring lives and like to pretend to be someone more interesting and enjoy the attention

i could say that im 7 foot 3 - my dream height - and of course i wish was that, but im just a tiny 6 foot 3 - or our way of saying it - 191cm. there is no point of lieing of who you are, because eventually you will be found out. i just above average (i like to think) over 6 foot - what is the average height of man today?

There arent many people over 2 metres - 6 foot 7 downunder. i have three friends that are taller than me. 7 foot 2, 6 foot 11 and 6 foot 7. the tallest one doesnt like to advertise that he's tall, and when Im with him, like to divert the conversation to me with others and tell people... "he may be tall, but look at my feet"... and he laughs every time. normally the taller people ive met, the less that want attention to themselves, and i respect that.

I'm of two minds on this. I AM 6'10 tall and really enjoy the attention I get from admirers online. It also makes hooking-up pretty easy for me.
But then when I'm offline, I don't necessarily want to be thought of a sexual conquest all the time. I just want people to relate to me for ME. It gets REEEEAAAALLY tiring.
All that being said, I'm not stupid either. I know that the more personal info I put online, the more exposed I am to the freaks and hackers online. So while you may see "red flags", it's my prerogative to stay secure online. (Plus, I used to give out my cell number more often and subsequently have had to change my number twice in the last 5 years. Hence, no more phone calls/sex.)

That is true. Real photos displayed on your profile/phone numbers can be traced easily with a google search, and your employers and friends and etc can stumble upon your escapades on a shady place like this. Not especially good for most people. Good to keep things private.

However there are some out-there profiles with HUGE heights above 7'0" (like some abandoned profile I ran into that says they "grew" from 5'11" to 7'10" in like 12 months, and is still growing, which would kill you) that have never been discovered by Guinness book of world records, claiming they have no camera in 2015, and a slew of other weak excuses. Like at the very least make up a believable lie like "I don't feel comfortable sharing that info."

Many times the online world appears a place where people can be who they'd like to be. Some are just themselves, others build a parallel oneself. Personally, I fall in the first category: my profile is who I am. If I encounter someone who turns up to be a moment of the second group, I don't take it personally and let go. I typically end the conversation, as I like to chat with people who like myself are comfortable in their shoes, but never with hard feelings. As per tall people being often objectify, I understand it can be annoying and in same cases become disrespectful. However, as the conversation goes, and you get to know the person, personality and character comes into play which makes the conversation even better. At least that's how it is for me. I am always respectful of the other person and try my best not to push on my admiration for tall men. Just wanted to share my two cents. Ciao
