In the past my Scientology protest work has caused that group to attack some of my websites in retribution. This time I thought it was them when my tall men's website https://bigdonsboys.com was taken down by a hack attack. Fortunately I now use the Cloudflare.com security site which charges me just $20 a month to protect a main account. But you can sign up with them and get basic protection for your websites for free!
I highly recommend them. I heard about 1/5th of the world's traffic goes through them! When I was just attacked yesterday I simply told cloudflare "Show the world your copy of my website not mine, which is temporarily blocked by my internet provider." Voila my sites are back and I didn't lose any income really.
What did this to me? A "bot" which searches the internet for photos that are copyright violations. The BPIMAGEWALKER bot scanned my site so obnoxiously it slowed down all the other sites in my "apartment building" so my "landlord" temporarily turned me off.
Let this be a lesson, if you make money off a website in any way from ads to promoting your biz get a free cloudflare.com account.
