This is funny. When I saw the title of this post, my first thought was, "damn, I've just returned from Australia; where were all the tall kids when I was there?". Because I only met 2 that i found noteworthy the whole time. Being 6'2" myself, tall for me starts over 6'7", but it is closer to 6'10" and over that really catch my attention.
Anyway, I started reading the article, and it talks about a 6'3" guy ( I guess that's 191 cm) as tall. Hmmm... I saw a lot of those there, but i would not really consider them tall. I know the average male height is so and so, and even I am taller than average, but 191 cm is not something I would pay attention to. In Europe nowadays there are a lot of men in their 190s, and they go unnoticed. It is not like anyone stopping them on the street asking about their height, as it happens with 7 footers. However, the Vonnegut story they write about, and the financial aspects are, indeed, interesting.
All in all, I just hope to see more and more guys around and above 6'10". On a different note, I did notice that many Aussie men have large feet. I ran into a few extremely big ones, even though the guys themselves were not much taller than me.
