Beautiful weather here in the UK last Saturday, perhaps the last lovely weather of the year :-(
There was a neighborhood gathering near me which was the final one of the summer, so I went along with a friend. I'm a little guy, like 5'2" tall, pretty lean, 47yrs old. There must have been 60-70 odd people in a little square with a couple of vans parked up selling food and drink.
Some youngsters arrived and one of them was literally the tallest dude I had ever seen. I think he may have been foreign and looked 16 or 17. He was HUGE - without the shadow of a doubt 7ft tall. Every guy was between chest and shoulder high and most of the ladies were chest high to him. He was just on a different plain and kind of oblivious to the obvious stares. There was a vibe, and like me, I could sense people felt totally intimidated by his height and size.
I got as close as I could and cannot have been more than stomach to chest high on this kid. My own tummy was churning, my legs were jelly and my thoughts tumbling. I could not concentrate at all, and felt slightly sick.
He was a really heftily-built giant kid. Very young face, some puppy fat, but just big, beefy. He wore lycra type shorts and a t-shirt. His legs seemed the length of me...his waist was certainly around shoulder high on me.
Big thick tree-trunk legs and a big ass for a guy. I could not stop staring.
He was obviously used to stares and just had his game face on, ignoring the gawping. Big thick arms and big chunky, chubby hands and wrists - his hands looked gargantuan.
He wore socks and what seemed like enormous white trainers, like boat sized.
I just wanted to be as near as possible - fighting the urge to jump up and hump his leg or something ridiculous!
He was barely aware of me, but every now and again looked down at me, a curiosity and dismissiveness in his eyes...
