Shout box / chat rooms etc.

Hi all

Anyone know why the old lanky men chat room used to be so much more active & dare I say it, vibrant?

I'm somewhat disillusioned with Shoutbox : no one chats. What's the point of logging into a chat room and then NOT chatting?!

It's a free country and if people want to lurk silently in chat rooms, they surely will. I just don't get it.

We all love tall men, Tall people, height comparisons, perhaps lift & carry. It's our community! For me it's a powerful force and we can all embrace it, relate our perspectives and engage with pure fellow height lovers.

But we should share and contribute. Surely it's pointless and odd to log in, stay logged in, but offer nothing!

Unless there's tech that kicks people out if they say or contribute nothing after 5 or 10 min (draconian perhaps?), it's down to that person's desire to engage with someone who shares the same fascination & desire.

So come on tall chatters, let's chat!!

Thank you for listening to my rant. Sorry if I've offended anyone but I just don't get 5 or 6 people hanging around in a Shoutbox and nothings been said for an hour!

Just as info, If I'm on the site, it will show me as in shoutbox, I guess cause I'm an administrator, though I'm not in there all the time.

Maybe if you broadcast a time for people to go in and chat, that will help.

I'm looking for any and all ideas to help like minded individuals engage. Thanks Loststar!

Also I would like to remind everyone we have a similar feature to height Groups, which is very underutilized, it is called Groups

You can access it by clicking the word above. . or look on the top header bar to the far right is groups.

with Groups you can create you own topic, mange it, invite others, have discussions. Just like height group had.
